Tonight in a special session the American Fork City Council rejected an amendment to lower property taxes. Even though the amount of decreased revenue from the property tax cut would have been small, only about $640,000, to offset the sales tax increase by the Council earlier this year, even that small symbolic property tax decrease was apparently too much for the other Council members to second. Sigh....
